Venstre Candidate for Vejle City
        Brian Mathiassen

My key issues for Vejle MunicipalityI am passionate about creating a municipality where our shared tax money is used wisely, and where there is a focus on the areas that truly matter to all of us.

    Children, Schools, and Daycare Institutions
           • Better physical conditions in schools and daycare institutions throughout Vejle.
A good indoor climate and outdoor area are crucial for well-being.
           • More qualified educators and teachers in institutions.
More hands and more opportunities gives better everyday life for both children and adults.

         Business and Economy

         • It is too expensive to build publicly. I will work to ensure that more local, small, and medium-sized                     businesses can bid on public construction projects. Today, only the large players have a chance, and               this unfairly drives up prices.
         • The price difference speaks for itself:
            - Private house construction: 15,000-20,000 DKK/sqm.
            - Public construction: 35,000-40,000 DKK/sqm.

I have 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the construction industry and know, hard work                  and many hours are necessary to succeed. Therefore, I am determined that our tax dollars should be            used wisely and not wasted.

         Vejle City Center

          • A playground by Ny Rosborg that is so good that we don't want to go home.
A playground for all of Vejle Municipality.
          • Protection of the city center against flooding and climate adaptation of the harbor.
          • Better walking and cycling connections from Boulevarden to the Harbor.
          • A harbor bath at Nordhavnen for the citizens in the city center.

Vote for Brian Mathiassen for a more responsible and locally rooted policy in Vejle Municipality.

????️ What are the Local Elections?

On the 18th of November 2025, municipal and regional elections are held across Denmark.

  • Municipal elections decide who runs your local services — like schools, kindergartens, elderly care, roads and culture.
  • Regional elections decide healthcare, including hospitals and mental health.

If you live in Denmark and meet certain conditions, you might have the right to vote – even without Danish citizenship.

Are you eligible to vote?

In Denmark, you can vote in the local (municipal) and regional elections if you:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Have a permanent address in Denmark
  • And meet one of these conditions:
    • You are a citizen of an EU country
    • You are a citizen of Iceland or Norway
    • You have lived in Denmark for at least 4 consecutive years

Venstre

  • ???? Why Vote for Venstre?

At Venstre, we believe in a Denmark that welcomes international residents and secures strong local communities.

    • We support international professionals and families
    • We’ve lowered taxes and future-proofed welfare
    • We work for better schools, public transport and free choice

    How to vote:

In Denmark, voting is simple and safe — and every vote counts. Here is how the process works:

    ???? Before the election

A few weeks before the election, you will receive your polling card (valgkort) in the mail. This card tells you where and when to vote. Your designated polling station will be close to your home.

You can also find information about the election on your municipality's website or at lifeindenmark.dk.

    ????️ On election day

On election day, bring your polling card and a valid ID (like your health card or residence permit) to the polling station.

There, you will receive a ballot paper and go to a private booth to mark your vote. When you're done, you fold the paper and place it in the ballot box.

You can vote for a party or a specific candidate within a party.

✉️ Voting in advance (postal voting)

If you can't vote on election day, you can vote in advance. This is called postal voting (brevstemme).

You can cast your postal vote at your municipality’s citizen service centre (borgerservice), often starting three weeks before the election. You don’t need to bring your polling card — just valid ID.

???? Who can I vote for?

You can vote for candidates running in your local municipality. As we get closer to the election, more candidates will be announced — but you can already see the list of Venstre’s confirmed candidates here:
